Due to the growing problem around the country with the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are taking every precaution possible to ensure the safety and well-being of the students involved in the Baptist Campus Ministry. Recent events dictate that there have been increased suggestions of precaution from the United States government, Kentucky State government, as well as the University of Kentucky Administration regarding travel as well as social gatherings. Along with that, recent decisions on UK’s campus regarding the movement of classes to an online platform have caused BCM staff to reassess the severity of the situation.

With that being said, we have had to regretfully make the decision to cancel our Spring Break trip Road Rules.

We believe that this is the best decision for the safety of our students and for us to do our part to prevent the spread of the virus. Staff did not make this decision lightly, but through time and prayer decided that this would be the best course of action. We are not called to live foolishly, nor fearfully, but to serve the Lord in all that we do, whether on a mission trip, or in Lexington, KY.

If you are a student who was planning on taking part in Road Rules, please fill out the form below to receive reimbursement. Please be patient with Staff as we work to reimburse our students over the next few weeks. If you have any decisions regarding this decision, please contact Danny Currie at danny.currie@kybaptist.org

At this point in time, UK BCM is planning to continue weekly gatherings of Refuel, Elevate, D Groups, and F2 after Spring Break during the 2 weeks of online classes. Please continue to check this page for updates as we make decisions regarding ministry events. As always, we encourage our students to continue to walk in faith as we do ministry in our daily lives.
